Ive always been a dreamer.I think someday my (in)sanity will take me to an imaginary place where all my fantasies will come true, peacefully, away from all the hurtful reality that is real life.
But learning to play guitar, and listening to all this music that, in some way, touched my senses and transformed me from within, helped me to grow and to reach my peace of mind. I have to thank Iron MAIDEN and W.A.S.P. for "building" up my musical taste, and later FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM and MARILLION too.
As a Guitar player for years now, I have several musicians that, in one way or another, influences my way of playing Guitar and enjoying Music in general.
Hearing DAVE MURRAY and ADRIAN SMITH (Iron Maiden)made me dive into the world of Guitar playing, and KERRY KING (Slayer) consolidated my need for agression and how to be on stage. Of course there were other musicians as JAMES HETFIELD, CHUCK SCHULDINER, BLACKIE LAWLESS, RONNIE JAMES DIO, OZZY OSBOURNE, DAN SWANO, which I respect a lot and Iam damned proud for being influenced by them.
Presently, there are some "new" musicians that I like a lot such as GUS G. (Firewind), BJORN GELOTTE and JESPER STROMBLAD (In Flames), MATT HEAFY (Trivium), MICHAEL AMOTT (Arch Enemy), JAMES MURPHY, JEFF LOOMIS (Nevermore), etc...
Supporting the music there were always the movies. Probably the reason for my healthy dives into fantasy and emotions. There a few that touched me in ways beyond words like Bram Stockers Dracula, Excalibur, Braveheart and Dune. Besides these, Ive always been a fan of Hammer Horror Movies from the 40s,50s,60s, and even some of the 70s. There are three actors that I respect a lot - Vincent Price (R.I.P.), Peter Cushing (R.I.P) and Christopher Lee.
