About Me

I'd like to quickly thank Nancy for her views regarding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - while personally supporting the troops she doesn't like the President. I personally believe this is a very mature view and I personally agree. Just because I made a career out of the military does not take away my opinion - I agree we need to be here but not for the stated reasons. Some day I pray we are told the truth of 'why' we are here.Career military: enlisted Special Forces, then completed college. Naui, PADI, CMAS Scuba instructor, Infantry Officer, then Intelligence Officer, Jumpmaster (82d), multiple combat zones (who today hasn't?). Interested in Culture, Media, Languages. Real, got the papers and scars to prove it. Been there, done it, already thrown away the stinking t-shirts. Tired of cynical people who are most likely insecure. FYI, that's not calling you insecure, just a question for you. If you take it as an insult, then yes, you're insecure. Professional Association Member: SFA, SOA, NMIA, AFCEA, DIAA, MOAA

My Interests

Motorcycles. I ride a Honda Goldwing at the moment, but I love riding everything. Harleys, Triumph, Indians are the classics. And, believe it or not I love politics. Politicians are screwing the USA up, but politics are intriguing. I love business but it's the same thing, yes? I'm amazed, didn't Hilary say she wanted to complete her complete term as Senator? Hmmmm. Yeah, raised outside Chicago, wife in Arkansas, now from New York - what part of her is real? Not her marriage, fer sure.

I'd like to meet:

Karen Hughes (Department of State), John McCain (Independent and innovative thinker, gutsy), Condoleeza Rice (Successful, brilliant, intriguing perspectives)."I Like a Boy" featuring Leah, Mims, Obama Girl...

Music:

Unbelieveably I love instrumental jazz, alternative or electric rock, classical music (to a point) and oldies. I think hip hop and rap is crap, for the most part - they show no talent.

Movies:

Of course I love war movies, but action flicks are great, especially football and movies with a lesson - therefore: Remember the Titans is one of my favorites, Love Actually, Millino Dollar Baby...By the way, "National Treasure II: Book of Secrets" is due out in December 2007, but then so is a Harrison Ford film about the assasination of Lincoln during the summer of 2007.

Television:

""I will not insult your intelligence by actually suggesting that you believe what you just said." -William F. Buckley Jr."Hollywood is full of crap, for the most part.

Books:

I just finished "Blood on the Moon" by Edward Steer - EXCELLENT book. It's an in depth analysis of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, it exposes most of the myths about John Wilkes Booth, Dr. Samuel Mudd and so on. It's also very timely, in 2007 there will be the release of National Treasure II about missing Confederate gold and 18 pages supposedly missing from JWB's memorandum book (I believe the movie calls it a diary). I strongly recommend this book before anyone sees the movie. I'm also going to tour the area where JWB escaped, with Dr. Samuel Mudd's assistance - the book exposes him as a traitor. Interestingly, the Mudd family continues trying to clear his name. He was pardoned in 1869, after treating hundreds of fellow prisoners for Yellow Fever and doubts lingered about his involvement, but his meetings with Booth prior to the assassination were not just coincidental.

Heroes:

My Father. He fought in World War II, walked the whole way across Europe, became a Lutheran Minister and has a work ethic that is unsurpassed, plus he is educated, well read, a great orator and extremely kind and gentle. My Mother. Educated, put up with me (borders on being a saint), the voice of an angel.Soldiers in harms way. Afghanistan, Iraq, Djibouti, Phillipines. Other places... Professionals, every one of them.
