LOWE'S IS A BATTLEFIELD.
When I bought a refrigerator from Lowe's, it was explained to me that delivery would be free but a sixty dollar deposit was required and I would later be reimbursed. "Will I get one of those crappy rebate cards?" The sales associate said it would come in the form of a check. LIE!
Obviously I'm not a fan of rebate cards because of their inability to be used in their entirety. I don't like the idea of companies profiting off of those shavings you don't or are unable to use. (I want each and every six thousand penny.) So when my balance was $2.14 this morning, I happened to be feeling on the determined side.
Might I suggest patronizing a place where you're known and liked? After explaining the woes of the rebate card, my barista (and friend) rang me up for $2.14 worth of goods (probably worth more than that, actually) and was able to fulfill his fantasy of cutting up someone's “credit†card.
