On December 11th 1985, Chase Moore was born in Melbourne, Australia. Ever since he could remember his father Neil played and taught piano, as well as record and produce music out of their home. Being raised in such a musical environment engraved the passion in to his blood. In September of 1994, Neil took an ambitious leap and moved the family to Sacramento, CA to start his own business. Moving to America exposed Chase to a completely different culture and lifestyle. Although he was already a hip-hop fan, Chase fell in love with the artform once he received the classic Wu-Tang album, "Enter the 36 Chambers". He began free-styling and writing rhymes when he was 14, and began composing beats while formally studying percussion at school. At age 15, Chase's former group "Capitol Conspiracy" received a SAMMIE nomination for best hip-hop group at the prestigious event honoring Sacramento musicians. Through out high school, Chase continued to develop his talent. By being in a few groups, performing locally & constantly rapping where ever he went, Chase developed quite a reputation. After a few failed album releases, he began concentrating on sharpening his skills as a battle MC. In additon to being a winner or finalist in numerous local competitions, he won The Source magazine's Unsigned Hype battle in 2004 in front of a crowded Arco Arena. Chase has shared the stage with hip-hop heavyweights at venues all through out California. He has opened for such artists as Nas, KRS-One, Mos Def, Dead Prez, Mistah FAB, Zion I, Living Legends, Mr. Lif, Cage & more. He has also produced for Keak Da Sneak and countless Sacramento locals. Chase moved to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue a major label contract, making this his 3rd attempt at securing a deal. However the deal fell through. Incidents like this have made Chase an even stronger person and artist, forcing him to adapt the independent do-it-yourself mentality. He started his own venture, Paper Chase Music. Along with his solo debut album, PCM is also releasing albums from artists Kel Cz & Al G, who both have heavy history in Sacramento. Also on the Paper Chase roster is head engineer/producer Furtado Yuen, Neat & his brother Leon Moore. Chase is also recording an album with legendary producer DJ Epik, who has produced for Mos Def, Mac Dre, Yukmouth & a whole lot more. Chase's sound has been described as upbeat, soulful and hard hitting rolled into one. His production is a mixture of slapping drums, keyboards, samples and live instrumentation. With Chase Moore's punch line heavy, catchy and precise syllable rhyme style, the audience is captivated with an amazing blend. Chase is a soldier, and is continuing to grind until he gets his proper due. He delivers an energetic and impeccable live show. The promising young artist has a rapidly growing fanbase in California and beyond. Be on the look out for Chase Moore. He is a force to be reckoned with. In his own words, "It Only Gets Better BABY!!!!!"
