Juliet Da Silva is a textile designer. Her fabrics are tributes to the tropical aesthetics of St Vincent where she continues to draw inspiration from its panoramic shores.
Her insight is tri-continental, spanning the global Diasporas of the Atlantics. With a Caribbean mother whose trade is in sewing Da Silva was surrounded by cloth at a very early age. Drawing from such tender inspirations Da Silva combines the Essentialist with the Non-Conformist aesthetic: 70s retro graphic and ethnic prints clash with post-modernity to create a heady mix of vibrant colour and sensitivity.
