About Me

I've been singing since I can remember. When I was seven, I wanted to be an opera singer. When I was ten, I wanted to be a broadway singer. When I turned thirteen, my daddy gave me a guitar, and I wanted to be John Prine.My grandparents sing and play gospel and old country music. They introduced me to Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, George Jones and Hee-Haw. My mama has been playing the piano since she was three. She also plays the guitar and is a great singer/songwriter. She introduced me to Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Michael Jackson, Mozart, and Prince. My daddy plays the guitar and sings really well. He showed me John Prine, Dan Fogelberg, John Hiatt, and bluegrass. When I tell people I'm a singer/songwriter, they always ask me who I sound like. Or when people hear me, they tell me I sound like so-and-so. I like to think that I sound exactly like a mixture of Hank Williams, Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Prince, John Prine and Alison Krauss.
