About Me

MyGen Profile Generator
Dirty, twisted, mad electro track!
The Flash Brothers
As a young boy Slavedriver, AKA Dez Kirkup, couldn't escape the clutches of distorted guitars, but with adolescence and the loss of innocence it was the call of the unbridled electronic beats that managed to seduce him.
Today with influences as wide ranging as Adam Freeland, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode and Aphex Twin, it's pretty clear that he has never let go of the grinding, distorted sounds of his youth. The result is a producer that can effortlessly combine up front and hard-hitting grooves with devouring walls of atmospherics and gritty electric hooks.
Determined to lose his listeners in the music whilst never allowing them to stop stamping their feet, Slavedriver is as much a slave to the music as he encourages his followers to become. And what could sum this up more concisely than his new track 'Miss Jasmine'?
This pounding dancefloor slayer is controlled from start to finish by the gorgeous voice of a dominatrix! Merciless, filthy hooks sweep throughout across a pulsating bass line as Miss Jasmine’s sexy tones whisper to you. Affirming her control, she lets you know you're her little toy, and with this sort of relentless groove it's very hard not to submit!
Seeking to enslave more souls in 2007, Slavedriver will continue to serve up more gritty filth and dominating beats. It’s only a matter of time before you lose the strength to resist.

Sounds Like: PRESS "Inspired by the fusion of Guitars and electronics Slavedriver aka Dez Kirkup has turned out a loud, brash stormer well worth tracking down. Hard-hitting and relentless ‘Miss Jasmine’ kinda fits in between Vitalic and Soulwax nite versions only with an extra gothy zest of sleaze".

JERRY BOUTHIER - FIVE* - UPDATE SONG OF THE WEEK

'This track could depict a bondage scene with Soulwax double-dropping on kick drums, a lampshade shaking bassline and all the while Miss Jasmine calling the shots, snapping a whip close to the flesh. Naturally it goes down a treat with the grandparents and indie-kids alike - just suck it and see.'
