My Interests

Reading, writing, never 'rithmetic. Drinking a lot, smoking too much, talking loudly probably at the wrong moment, and a myriad of other things that I probably shouldn't mention here.

I'd like to meet:

Probably nobody, to be honest. I already meet far too many people off t'interweb. The chances of you NOT being an axe-wielding lesbian are becoming fewer and fewer. Although I suppose you have to take your chances with me too.

Music:

A little bit of everything, including, shamefully, country. Long live the Drive-By Truckers! Portishead, Pixies, Pearl Jam, Buckcherry, House of Alice, Arcade Fire, Big Smith, Avalanches, Johnny Cash, Eagles, both Jeff's (Beck and Buckley)... Strays Don't Sleep rock my world at the moment.

Movies:

The Usual Suspects, Constantine, The Princess Bride, Airplane, Deliverance, Apocalypse Now, Anchorman, Arsenic and Old Lace...

Television:

Don't own one, don't want one. Evil things... Although apparently being a Media Studies teacher without a TV is like being a PE teacher with no legs.

Books:

The Magus, A Widow For One Year, Catch 22, Lady Chatterley's Lover (not just for the horn), The Elephant Vanishes, anything creepy (Stephen King during and after Bag Of Bones), anything dirty, anything by Jilly Cooper.

Heroes:

Pamela Anderson (don't laugh- great business sense). Dolly Parton - that woman is a legend.
