Ladies and Gentlemen Good Afternoon. Thank you all for coming out to Damion & Sherry’s weeding, for those who don’t know my name, I am Ashley; I am the best man. I would like to start off with saying I feel like I’m gaining a new sister and losing a brother. It ‘s such an emotional roller coaster of happiness, sadness but most of all a relief that someone else is holding him by the leash. Damion is a great man. I can say that because he is my brother and my best friend, and I know that sherry will be a wonderful wife, she is a great friend, sister-in-law, but most importantly family. I know that being married is a complicated thing that I know nothing about, but may the only ups and downs in your marriage be the ups and downs between the sheets.

Lingering like thorns on the stem of a rose, only when it sticks you, the poison of eternal bliss lives within. So we reminisce to the last time love was in our body, heart, mind, and soul, to the things that kept us up all night, to crying yourself to sleep, To awake that next morning to see a pretty face. That’s where it began your breathing was interconnected, your exhale was her inhale it was beautiful, you were always there to catch her when she fell. She was there when your days were just hard to take. The beauty of today washed all those troubles away. I give you my blessing, I give you both a rose, one red the other white, to symbolize the friendship and romance you each hold, with each raised while they both kissed it created a bond of eternal bliss. The roses grow plentiful while they both grow old, and that’s how this story will come to a close.
