Originally from Louisville, KY, he made a move to Memphis, TN to pursue his musical career. He has performed throughout the US, Asia and Africa.RCA A&R executives signed Jerry's first group The Main Attraction on the spot. Their first release was entitled "Reconsider" followed by "Rainy Nights" which scored high on the charts. "Rainy Nights" was later re-released by Chico Debarge. In the early 90's Benny Medina and Michael Austin took notice of Jerry's group RAW and signed them with Warner Brothers. The group released the song titled "Stand By Your Man".Jerry has the versatility and musical genius of James Brown and Prince, while his musical range is unforgettable like Jackie Wilson. Like each of them, yet different in his own way, he has helped adorn rhythm and blues music with new textures and flavors that are consistently inspiring a whole new generation of musicians.With his exotic features, wavy hair, self-preserving disposition and his acoustic guitar in hand - Braxton is a music sensation. Record company execs who profited from his early releases did little to dispel his versatile image that has earned him an acclaimed reputation. He has remained an inspiration to thousands of faithful listeners. He is currently unsigned and re-inventing his career by staying the course as he adds new songs to his repertoire like:
