ABOUT
Banding together back in 2002, 20 Minutes To Park has taken the term "acoustic duo" to an all new level. With only two acoustic guitars and two vocals, Josh Gilmore and Mitch Strohm combine energy, sincerity, and passion to create a unique sound rarely heard in today's music marketplace. With upbringings of country and blues, the duo strives to maintain their homestead sound and combine it with melodic phrases that stick with you well after you leave the show.
In their debut album "Can't Stand Still", you hear a span of influences ranging from classics like The Beatles and The Eagles to more recent artists like Ray LaMontagne and Ryan Adams. The completely self-produced record features 8 raw acoustic tracks, simple and sincere. "Can't Stand Still" is filling in the gaps between today's over-produced alternative rock bands and is a perfect reflection of what 20 Minutes To Park is capable of doing in front of an audience.
With well over 60,000 miles of touring under their belts, 20 Minutes To Park has been hard at work, spreading their music and building a devoted fan base across state lines. The duo's live show is passionate and filled with bona fide energy that even most full bands have a difficult time delivering. Their love for performing live is obvious to anyone in attendance, and their appreciation for their fans is even more evident.
2007 stands to be a promising year for 20 Minutes To Park. Their debut release is in stores, two tours are set for spring and fall, a college radio campaign is underway, and music licensing offers are on the table. With all this action, 20 Minutes To Park is taking their career to new heights and pursuing their dreams in full-swing.
