On December 2004, Hendrix and Freddy decided to make a new band. Together they set out to find musicians interested in forming a Death Metal band, which later came to be known as VORACIOUS. Lee Harrison, drummer of MONSTROSITY, was approached about helping out with the project’s first recording. The band recorded two songs, Deceiving Revelations and Chaotic Mortal Rage. Harrison’s help was much appreciated and was pivotal in fueling the band to move foward and find a permanent lineup.
With a demo under their belt, VORACIOUS went through several auditions before enlisting Robert (ex-DISMAL DIVINITY, ex-VOMULENS, ex-ENCRYPTED) on drums, and Owen (MACHETE) on bass. Now ready to record some new songs after much practice VORACIOUS recorded a new demo with their first lineup, entitled ENCOUNTER GORE DEVOTION. In November 2005 the band performed for the first time opening for the legendary INCANTATION and FUNERUS. It was an honor to share the stage with bands which VORACIOUS was influenced by. The show was a great success, and there was talk of the possibility of a future project on IBEX MOON RECORDS ( John of INCANTATION’s label).
Motivated to get the ball rolling, the band decides to re-record ENCOUNTER GORE DEVOTION, this time recruiting Josean (DEATHWISH BRONSON) to replace Robert on drums. After playing several shows with this lineup, the band delivers the IMPENDING PLAGUE, EP and records a video for the song Encounter Gore Devotion. March of 2007, Freddy parted ways. The band moved foward, playing several more shows. With plans of recording an LP, the band is laying down the groundwork to unleash its newest musical offering. VORACIOUS’ new lineup, and a new outlook shall set a new standard of musicianship and brutality.
