WHO IS NEW YORK EXCHANGE: New York Exchange a.k.a. NYE was born and raised in Harlem, NY, and at the age of 24 his confidence, humility and respectful demeanor are some of his best features. He first knew he wanted to be in the music business in 2000 after watching a hip-hop summit featuring all kinds of underground MC's and dancers that were incredible. N.Y.Es musical influences includes KRS One, 2 PAC, Biggie and Rakim, to name a few; he grew up listening to these artists, and learned to love and appreciate their craft. N.Y.E didn't realize that he was blessed with the ability to move the crowds, while being blunt and truthful at the same time. This realness is what will make N.Y.E a hit! His mentors include Pee Wee Dance, DJ Kool Herc and Grandmaster Caz. N.Y.E believes these three individuals are all unique, and continue to fight for the same cause, which is being able to express themselves through music and dance. In the words of N.Y.E, "hip-hop is not just a image, it's a lifestyle, that is what it means to me." N.Y.E is currently working on his own label called The Entertainment New Treasure (The ENT), and what makes the ENT different from other labels is the diversity. Not only does the ENT deal with Hip-Hop and R & B, but Soul, Jazz and Rock. All of this together with his catchy hooks and lyrics makes him and the ENT destined for greatness!
