wiseblood is a new ep and project from shawn avery and ashby pate. with help from their former band, the ashes and with appearances by the bridges, clint wells of the spots and percussionist josh cooper, wiseblood is a cooperative musical project that draws its name from the flannery o'connor novel of the same title. as such, wiseblood is both sound and word, a southern, gothic, literary/musical experiment formed to bridge the gap between two genres currently being replaced with disappointing photocopies of themselves by the pop culture ignorati. we hope you like it and we hope they hate it.

wiseblood will be playing the raindrop music festival at bottletree on april 26th, 2008.
