total music lover. been an orchestra nerd since i was eight, got into punk-rock in my teens and twenties, and in between that, was influenced a lot by my dad, who is a gutairist/songwriter. swirl that all together, and wha-la, you get me. what tends to be on my record player? yesterday it was bill monroe, man with gun, the circle jerks, flaming lips (cd), ramones (cd), from ashes rise (cd)

Memphis 1992 - Who Are You

Memphis 1992 - Who Are You - News special about Memphis Punk and Hardcore scene. i go through cycles...but they usually last for about a year. one year, all i wanted to watch were samurai/kung fu flicks, then old horror, then teeny-bop eighties, then stand-up, then documentary, monty python, and out of those, i think my favorite is satyrical documentary.

Television:

late night pbs.

Books:

usually, i lean toward non-fiction unless i stumble upon something with good imagery and character development. i am a sucker for radical history and biographical. as far as mixing fiction and non-fiction....mehh, unless the climate of the time/place dictates the character in the book, but i'm more intrigued by timeless characters, those that are more self-contained and that have personalities uncontrolled by environment. for laughs, i read conservative theory.
