About Me

Thank you for stopping by my page! Its so nice to have visitors......Let me explain myself: I am a Concept Photograher, with over 20+ years experience in putting together lighting and scenes; additionally, I am also a Writer, mostly Essays and Short Stories; but I can and have written some Presentations and Speeches!Additionally, I have worked as an Event Planner, as well as an Event Organizer, which can be extremely stressful (especially if 4 of the 5 Speakers don't show up)!Within the next few months, I plan on setting up and opening my own Studio/Gallery with a Color Darkroom.I am also putting together a collection of my short stories, due to be out the winter of 2007 (look for the title "Fragments from a Blown Mind").First, I am working on putting together a Showcase of my Photography (maybe January or February).Just remember the name: C.B. Jackson of Dark Star Images

My Interests

Reading, writing, Bible research (What? I said it!), Concept Photography, increasing my skills in my crafts.

I'd like to meet:

TO ALL MY FRIENDS, OLD & NEW:I will be taking some time off from MySpace, in order to finish writing and preparing my Book, "Fragments from a Blown Mind"....I will still check my messages and leave some comments here and there; but I am about 8 months behind on this Project! So while I have someone willing to back me up (financially), it would be a very good idea to 'get it done'! In the meantime, if you need to reach me, CALL Me at 904-962-1781..... Love you all!

Music:

Mostly Jazz (Sade, Boney James); but I listen to just about anyone, as long as they have something to say! (Steely Dan, Mos Def, Prince, Neal Peart, Suzanne Vega, KRS One, Jill Scott, Sting, Enya, Ericka Badu, P.J. Harvey, R. Kelly, Tod Rundrun, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, etc.)

Movies:

Sci-Fi; Fantasy; mostly, I like movies that are story-driven ("In the Heat of the Night" for example). My top ten movies of all time: 1. To Sir, With Love (Yeah, I said it!!) 2. Stargate 3. In the Heat of the Night 4. Cry Freedom 5. Absense of Malice 6. The Learning Tree 7. The Associate 8. Coach Carter 9. Finding Forrester 10. Becket

Television:

Jeopardy; Law & Order; Forensic Files; What the Ancients Knew; In Search Of; The Original Twilight Zone; Alfred Hitchcock Presents; Inside the Actor's Studio; All of the "Star Trek" versions (you know, the typical "Nerd" stuff).

Books:

"A Choice of Weapons" by Gordon Parks; "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee; "The Rest of the Story" by Paul Harvey; "Profiles in Courage" by John F. Kennedy; "Dragon-singer" by Anne McCaffrey; "Feast of All Saints" and "Belinda" by Anne Rice; "Wizard's First Rule" by Terry Goodkind.

Heroes:

I don't have any Heroes, because I don't believe in putting any man on a Petestal. But some of the People I highly admire are: Nelson Mandela, Gordon Parks, Rosa Parks, Roseanne, Malcolm X, Oprah, Ice-T, Tim Allen, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Judge Greg Mathis, Don King, Rod Serling, Jimi Hendrix, Vernon Reid, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Donald Trump. See the pattern! People who have been through things, and came through those troubles with grace, which made them that much stronger! That is what I admire; not that I agree with everything they say or do, but one can't help but to applaud their strength of character!
