My Interests

Hardcore, fly fishing, philosophy, cooking, and trying not to screw up too badly in raising my kid.

I'd like to meet:

Other hardcore kids into melodic hardcore, and the philosophically inclined.

Music:

Hardcore. Not metal, Hardcore. Stay Gold, Sinking Ships, Ignite, Raining Bricks, Ensign, Avengers, Descendents, Midnight Oil, 80's New Wave, All, Uniform Choice, D.I., Focused, Strongarm, Adolescents, Social Distortion, Duran Duran, Kajagoogoo (I like most of those 80's new wave bands you see on Bands Reunited), Big Country, the Alarm, Unity, U2, Youth of Today, Bold, Judge, Names for Graves, Plan of Attack, No for An Answer (or anything Gavin Oglesby ever did), Gorilla Biscuits, Triggerman (Or anything Joe Nelson ever did), Johnny Cash, A 18, Outspoken, New Model Army, and anything Dan O'Mahoney ever did...except Voicebox, God Forgot, and Both Hands Broken.

Movies:

Fletch, Real Genius, Super Troopers, and Fletch Lives are the finest movies ever made. I also really, REALLY liked Open Water...the ending kind of got me choked up.

Television:

Scrubs, ER, the Office, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021, Futurama, Newsradio, Rome, Entourage, the Wire, Battlestar Galactica (the new, not old), History Channel, firefly, Lost, and I LIVE for Shark Week on the Discovery Channel every year.

Books:

I once was written up on the job as a ski lift operator for reading Plato (I think it was the Charmenides) in my life shack. I was hunched over reading it, I think the boss thought I was smoking pot. Currently reading Chronicles of Narnia for fun.

News Radio was the best comedy ever

So, I've been watching the News Radio DVD that I got for Christmas.  It has the first two seasons on it, outtakes, usual DVD stuff.  That show was seriously the funniest comedy on tv....EVER...
