Once upon a time, and be sure ..t was a long time ago, there was born a little boy near a little town, in the land of poets and thinkers - as the educated call it; in the land of politics, the land of machines - as it is called by others. In the region where Luther spoke, where Goethe lived, and Mozart once held the scepter of harmony - great names shine there, in science and in art, names that are well known to us.One day the little boy became a man and he decided to leave this area and to go on an adventure. He finds a map of the continent he was born and decides to venture through the glorious land of monuments and fancy, through many unknown kingdoms.The journey is continued through the land of Charlemagne and Napoleon. He walked by wide meadows, covered with beautiful flowers of red and yellow and little sheep with white fleece and funny faces. He passed through deep pine forests, dark and mysterious and finally he climbed over the Pyrenees. Yes, it was just like in a fairy tail! And he goes on to the country whence Columbus went forth, where Cortez was born, and where Calderon sang dramas in sounding verse. Here, where beautiful black-eyed women live still in the blooming valleys, and the oldest songs speak of the Cid and the Alhambra, here – more than ever - he felt at home. That summer the country was particularly beautiful, and it was glorious to live next to the sea.
But what had happened then?Time had come to move out so he walked nights and days over meadows, fields, and stony places; and when it rained he stopped and said to himself, "Heaven and my heart are weeping together" He knew where his feet have taken him and he settled down, in the city of tulips and the country of cheese, where people wear clogs and eat “vlaamse frites†the whole day – four long years he beard his fate. But he was looking out for the day to return and so it happened that one evening he was on his journey back home…
And, of course, he lived happily ever after!
Marc Twain and his love for music started with listening and moving to it - and the will to change the scenery which led him to playing records and making others listen and move in the late 90's. Over the years travel, work and the twists of life influenced his style and led to a progressive sound with a signature minimal edge to it.
Nowadays he loves to play his reference mix of minimal and techno combining it with electronic sounds. His mission behind the turntables is to give the listener an experience he will hardly hear elsewhere, busting his moves behind the decks pulling the obligatory homemade concentrated face and gestures. After working with and learning from many top artists around the world and following his ambition to create, not copy, Marc recently started producing his own music.
Because behind his passion for music also beats an entrepreneur..s heart, Marc Twain is also co-founder of Makiro Entertainment, an upcoming, young and ambitious event management agency located in Barcelona. Makiros signature tasks include conceptualizing, designing and producing events in entertainment, fashion and-of course-electronic music. Furthermore, they specialize on innovating personalized music concepts and artist bookings. Marc Twain and his partner offer a unique form of rocking your boat, taking care of all the details and looking for the most suitable music acts to star any event, anywhere.
