I found my love for Drum n Bass and Jungle in 1996 when a friend of mine at school gave me a mix tape to listen to. It blew me away. I hadn't heard anything like it before. So I went to a Jungle rave called 'Panic 3' featuring Melbourne and Adelaide's Jungle Djs. I was hooked, so I hunted down a record store called 'Soundboy Records' in Prahran which was ran by Atom One. Thats when my vinyl fetish began. A couple of days a week I would skip school in the afternoon and go to Soundboy to see what new tunes had arrived. A friend of mine, Roln started buy records too and started putting on Rave parties. Most of the raves at the time played Techno, so Roln started pushing the Jungle sound. My first gig was at 'Darkhalf', a rave in Collingwood. Roln and I then started a club night called 'Tekstep'. I had just started working full time as a Graphic Designer so I didn't have any more time to promote a club night so Roln took over. At first it was a small club night with local djs and then grew to become large scale events holding up to 1000 people featuring international djs such as Andy C, Doc Scott, Matrix, Fierce, Trace and Bad Company. The Tekstep series came to a end and I started playing for various promoters such as Hardware, Agent Mad, Future Entertainment and Broken Beat Assault. In 2005 I joined 'The Better By The Pound' show on PBS FM where I played every Saturday night. Now I play on PBS every second Monday of the month on a show called 'The Blend'. I am currently busy designing club flyers and playing for the Broken Beat Assault crew as well as writing tunes and doing my full time job.
