Old and new friends! Not really here to meet "Mr. Wonderful", but love meeting people who do the right thing and genuinely have a good heart. People who work hard and play hard! Any one with a positive attitude! It is fun to meet other Reba fans because for the most part, they tend to be "good people"! Haven't met a Reba fan yet that I didn't like!
I love music...so many to mention...funny how certain songs can you take back to a certain time in your life and conjure up memories of so long ago, so many songs do that for me...some good memories, some not so good, but music is and always has been a big part of my life, from taping songs on the radio in the early 80's to creating cassettes from cd's, to now ummm, downloading songs from the internet. I will be creating my playlist here shortly for anyone who cares to enjoy and listen to.Some of the concerts that I have been fortunate to attend have been many! Every one of them was an experience that I will remember...however, I am sure that there is no way that I could list them all in one sitting...but lemme try: First concert back in the summer of 1983 at the Rose Bowl, Journey, Triumph, Blue Oyster Cult, and Aldo Nova, the next summer, I went to see Journey again, this time Bryan Adams opened up for them. Then, around the late 80s, I went to a few concerts: Whitesnake, Bad English, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Phil Collins, Erasure. Skip ahead, I went to see Barry Manillow open the Arrowhead Pond, and saw him also open up the Kodak Theatre, and saw him once at the Hollywood Bowl. Yes, three times I saw Barry Manillow, and I am not afraid to admit it! I have varied musical taste and so proud of it...can't cram me into a box! I also have seen my share of country favorites: Reba, several times, always so much fun...saw her at the Girls Night Out tour, Two hats and a redhead tour, at the Las Vegas Hilton last summer (where I was able to meet her and get my picture taken with her!), and saw her at the Kodak Theatre for the CMT Giants show that aired on tv. (Check it out at cmt.com and you can watch the entire thing on your computer! Amy and I were in the eleventh row opposite side of Reba and her family behind Trisha Yearwood and Faith Hill), any who, back to the concerts, Garth Brooks, SheDaisy, Leann Rimes, Dixie Chicks a few times, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, many more I am sure and someone else I don't want to forget: Chris Isaak, that man is just that...all man...yes, he is Amy's man, but wow, he is great to look at and fun to listen to! We have also been to Jingle Ball the last six years which is brought to the fans of Star 94.1 in San Diego to support Becky's house...they always have a concert with various artist (John Mayer, Def Leppard, Seal, Alanis Morrisette, etc.) performing their music around Christmas time each year...love going, this year especially to see Jewel! Listening to Jewel yodel is so much fun! We also went to see the American Idol concert this year. I am sure I am forgetting some, but will add them later! Okay, didn't take me long to remember that we went to the Jimmy Buffet concert! Such an experience!!!
Okay some music that I enjoy but have yet to see them perform live: Snow Patrol, Hinder, Johnny Cash, Mindy McCready, Trisha Yearwood, Carrie Underwood, and so many more!!!
Reba @ the Las Vegas Hilton, Summer of 2006
Reba and Shelby at the second to the last taping of the Reba Show!!!! Yes, I asked Reba if I could get a picture of the both of them, and she said "Yes"!!!
My favorite concert of 2006...CMT Giants at the Kodak Theatre in the 11th Row behind Faith Hill and Trisha Yearwood!!!
Our tickets for the CMT Giants honoring Reba Nell McEntire
Chris Isaak, last summer in the OC...
Cinderella is my all time favorite Disney movie, started me off young with loving romance movies...enjoyed Somewhere in Time, Pretty Woman, Hope Floats, The Lake House, The Notebook, 50 First Dates, The Sweetest Thing, Gone With the Wind, and old classics with Marilyn Monroe, Doris Day, and John Wayne. I also have a passion for football movies...ever since Tom Cruise did All The Right Moves way back when...lol...I also like any chick flick, comedy, and some good classic action movies! Mostly anything besides scary! Most recent favorite quotes from a movie:Birdee Pruitt: I would have stayed with you forever. I would have turned myself inside out for you.
Bill Pruitt: Birdee, I wouldn't have let you! People grow. They change. They have to!
Birdee Pruitt: You think that I don't know that? I know that I'm not what I once was. I know that! But I haven't changed so much, that I would go and lie to someone that I love. God, I would walk through fire before I'd let them feel like they were nothing! And I would never break up anybody's home. Because I am not a quitter. I care about my family! I may not be the same person, but then again, neither are you. You're sad, you're weak, and you're... shorter. If you want to know the truth.
Bill Pruitt: I'm in love with Connie. And this is my chance for a fresh start, and I'm taking it, I'm sorry!
Birdee Pruitt: Then you should take it. If that's how you feel then you should take it. You and Connie deserve each other. You were lucky to have me. But you know what? I think I already got the best part of you. And she's standing right out there, and she's waiting for me. I don't know... what's left just doesn't look so good anymore. So why'd you come back? You want my permission? You want my... condolences? Why did you come back?
Birdee Pruitt: Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome. That's what momma always says. She says that beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up. And it will...
I love Lucy (all time favorite - love when Lucy mimics Ricky!!!), Reba, American Idol, Bachelor, Big Brother, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Wife Swap, Ghost Whisperer, the Girls Next Door (Brigette is so cute and pink!), and watching the SD Chargers! Oh, a new show that I think is so funny...Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader???
The Notebook and all sequels, anything written by Danielle Steel, and The Bible!
