Nature boy seeks teasing badgers and rhyming weasels.

About Me

Well, im 40, a poet, cook, artist. Yorkshire born- where else. Dont live there of course, i find that glossy romantic image of rolling dales and rough hewn blokes leaning on five bar gates watching sheep deteriates the closer i get to the sacred place. Anyway, i only found out last year that we'd lost the war of the roses. Maybe every yorkshire child is brought up to believe it, booing on the m62 when they cross over into lancashire. I don't know. What i do know is that there i was, proudly damning lancastrian scum not only for being lancastrian scum but for being beaten 400 years ago when i was taken aside and told gently by a yorkshire woman that we were ourselves abjectly trounced and ground into the peaty moors, not them. Hum. Something else i never understood was that my dad was from manchester making...him...oh. All v confusing and so a fundimental part of me.Why oh why i have the other fundimental parts is beyond the remit of this about me bit. At least i've written something i suppose.

My Interests

walking, badger watching!, bad punctuation, wild flowers, music, poetry, laughing and taking the piss. actually thats probably my favourite pastime.

I'd like to meet:

Poets, musicians, passionate people who arent afraid of doing things differently if itd more interesting. Theres bound to be folk out there who are up for not taking life too seriously so i want them. Come on you poets of little grace, you fools of passion, you wanton lovers. come and leave messages, read my blogs, annoy me, like or loathe my poetry but dont just sit there...

Music:

avenge sevenfold, my fair lady, mika, cradle of filth, nickel creek...

Movies:

napoleon dynamite, jerry springer the opera, amelie, waking life, sound of music, hedwig and the angry inch...

Television:

father ted, carnivale

Heroes:

david attenborough
