Working On A Vision
Okay, so I will let you in on me. I'm not the average kid from the hood. I grew up in the hood but I was fortunate enough to have parents and loved ones who loved God. They kept me on track and tried to keep me going in the right direction. My dad paved the way for my education by working at a steady job for over 30 years now, that's love. He did it knowing that it would give at least one of his kids the opportunity to got to college and to keep food on the table. I am very grateful for that. I have found that I am a natural in business and business management. God has spent a lot of time preparing me to be a success and I plan to live up to it. 2008 is my year of new beginning. Not that I am trying new stuff, I just see things from an entirely different prospective now. I have matured spiritually and naturally. I am ready to walk out my destiny.Clicking PointsI Gotta Go Rev. Run style On This One!Well, basically life is full of what I have come to call clicking points. It is certainly part of the maturing process, but haven't you had those moments where something just clicked and all of a sudden you were able to see things from a different perspective. Some may know this as "hind-sight". Stating the common phrase hindsight is 20 -20. But think about this, if this is always going to be true, can we really pride ourselves in current moments. That thing that you are proud of yourself for achieving right now, will you later look back and say - I could have done that a whole lot different? Or, couldn't you save your self a whole lot of time by simply talking to people who have already been there? In some cases yes, and others, maybe it had to be you. This one thing I know, I would rather have someone leading me in the right direction now whether I understood the direction or not. Why, because pretty soon I will be reaching another clicking point. Think About It - J
You Gotta Hear Dis DudeNow, I know that gospel rap has primarily been wack. But this dude is actually talented enough to hang with anybody out there in the secular industry. The only thing that is holding him back is the label Gospel. No, for real. I think the tightest cats out there are Jay-Z, Eminem, Lil Weezy, and few others. This dude can give them all a run for their money. His name is "Da Truth". I have no relation to him but I had to plug him cuz he is that tight. For Real.
Wisdom is First "Wisdom (What to do) is what you need first, so get it and go with it. While you are there, get an understanding of what you are doing." Bible - Proverbs 4:7, Jay's TranslationGifted by God In response to the the overwhelming masses of people that are calling their "gift", their "ministry". I just want to clear something up. Your gift is not your ministry. Your gift is the vehicle used to transport your ministry. So in practice, a comedic gift doesn't make comedy your ministry. Laughter just becomes one of your methods of healing.
The Gift of singing, is not your ministry, you use your singing as a method of reaching and ministering to others.
Writing is not your ministry, if God has gifted you to write, it is one of the methods used to deliver ministry.
Point being - stop letting gifts define who you are and what you do. Your are much more than a gift. Learn to use your God given gift/s to minister as God leads you to and stop letting your gifts lead you into things they weren't given to you for. Your gift is a tool, not the over-all work, so stop working so hard on your tools - and see the bigger picture.
You shouldn't be stressing out trying to make it as a singer, dancer, comedian, writer, preacher, pastor, etc. - you just use these things to communicate the bigger message - Get to Know God. JMY STUFF View My Pics View My Blog Message Me Add Me Add to Group Forward Favorites Block Rate
