Cancer Kills Clothing was started with the inspiration of Brad Andress, bass player of Close To Home. At only 20yrs old, Andress was diagnosed for the 2nd time with a tumor the size of a baseball on his left lung causing him shortness of breath leading him to an emergency hospital after playing a show during the bands first US Tour. CTH's tour was cut short since Andress had to be rushed back to his hometown of Kentucky to meet with a specialist. After running multiple tests, doctors told Brad he had Lipo Sarcoma cancer, only this time it was worse! Shortly after hearing the news, Brad had his left lung taken out in hopes of fighting the 20% chance to live up to five years that doctors diagnosed him with. Faith pulled him through his surgery but only one week after he was taken home, he was brought back to the hospital to learn he had three new tumors and a 5% chance to beat it! With extensive chemotherapy treatments, Brad is in remission of his deadly disease today!
Brad Andress fought to stay alive with the love of everyone who knew him and others who gave him support from a far. After various benefit concerts and caring individuals who helped Brad and his family with all his medical bills to survive, I was inspired to start a clothing Company by the name of Cancer Kills with a portion of the proceeds going to kids with Cancer who can't afford to pay for their care to treat their illness.
Cancer Kills will be throwing a Full US Tour in 2007 with all the proceeds going to kids who have cancer that can't afford all the medical payments our society suffers from today. A compilation CD with all proceeds going to the cause will also be released in 2007 at various music festivals and functions.
Cancer Kills clothing will be coming out with their new line soon! Please check back for more info...
If you would like to get involved in creating more possibilities to aid this deadly disease and our youth who seem to be suffering from it, please send an email through myspace and someone will be getting back to you shortly.
Thank you,
