Founded in 2001 by Kamilah Jarvis, The Village Foundation of Illinois is a non profit educational organization that believes "It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes education and economics to raise the village" (K. Jarvis). We aim to be the catalysts that not only transforms the lives of youth, but the lives of families and communities. The foundation is comprised of four specific program areas, academic scholarship, mentorship, career planning, and economic empowerment.
