Nations Vibration Sound System is Darren Mathers and Ian Willingham. Employing a strictly conscious but broad music policy from roots, dub, ska, studio one and revival, the musical message is strictly one of unity. Founded in 1993, the original line up included Sister Emma and Robin Airey.
Inspired like so many by the electrically charged vibes of visionary soundman Jah Shaka's dances in the '80s and '90s, we decided to create our own sound and spread the positive message of roots music.
Because we live in an age that Babylon made violent, intolerance and misunderstanding among humanity is at boiling point. Our works must counteract this – becoming a unified spiritual antithesis, and just one way is through soundsystem. Our sound exists to celebrate cultural diversity and create progressive positive energy.

We are currently in our 10th year as resident at Brighton's Roots Garden club in the UK (on the first Tuesday of every month). In the 15 years one the scene or off the scene we've played all over Europe with guest singers and players, often with long time family member and Roots Garden promoter Jon Jones. In the past, you may have heard the odd guest slot on Kiss Fm with the king of UK riddims, Nick Manasseh ... or our own show on Rockers FM. These days you can catch us from time to time on the internet c/o Totally Radio , again as guests on the fantastic Roots Garden show...
