Adam Mayo aka Mango Seed started his musical career at the age of 16 as a singer/guitarist and songwriter. He moved from Bermuda to persue a musical career in England, paired up with fellow Bermudian Mark Lomas. Together they produced two debut albums, 'Conscious Fire' & 'Messenjah' each original and of high standard. Both have a timeless quality about them and are full of positive and enlightening messages. If your interested in following up on their albums please go to www.dungeonproductions.co.ukWith a successful release of Conscious Fire, his music was respectfully acknowledged with an invitation to perform at 'Sumfest' in 2002. For any aspiring reggae artist, especially for an outsider, it was an honour for him to perform at the birthplace of reggae music at one of it's most celebrated concerts. The performance went down very well and captured the attention of all who were there, in particular a legendary artist by the name of Paul Elliot. Paul took him aside and was reportedly to have said, with eyes wide, 'Just keep doing what your doing yout!' It was to be the begining of a great partnership, with Mango shooting his first video on a return mission to Jamaica in combination with Mr. Elliot, from a track entitled, 'Build Another Bridge.'The video was shot in the heart of Jamaica and features many well known faces including, Prince Jammy, and Gregory Isaccs. The message in the song celebrating unity and togetherness amongst all people of all nations.Much work has also been done on the other side of the Atlantic, with many works culminating in the UK Here Mango has worked with many lables, from different genre's of music. For example Mango is featured on the Black Grass Label(Uk Hip Hop based), on a song called 'Aint the Man' and has worked witha group called EZ-Rollers on an up tempo track called, ' Lady Jam.' While in England Adam and Mark also recorded some songs with Mafia and Fluxy, You can hear one of the songs, entitled 'Made Wise' on this site's media player. Also much work has been done alongside Nations Vibrations Soundsystem, a heavy roots sound which regularly plays around the UK, and during the summer months, travels over to Europe to country's such as Spain, France, Portugal, and Italy. The works accomplished by the sound are impressive, especially considering that they have to haul the soundsystem via van across the channel. Anyone whose ever worked on a sound can tell you it's no easy business. Look for Nations Vibrations in My Space friends on this page for more about them. Mango is also a regular sing-jay at the Roots Garden Sound System in Brighton. Every turesday night features reggae dj's and soundsystem from all oveer the U.K. with special guest singers frequenting the scene. Recently Mango has worked along side conscious sounds label with Douggy, a U.K. sounds producer coming out with some killer new tunes, 'Religeous and Political terrorism' and 'Float in dem Bubble' soon to be releasedMango is currently in Jamaica, and is gigging regularly there, working up to his performance this year at Sting. Look out for the lion...his roar is sure to grab your attention!Bless
