About Me

WEBSITE
Originally from Tempe, Arizona, Jason Thielke studied art at Northern Illinois University, lived in Sicily for two years and now calls Denver, Colorado home. Jason started his career as a graphic designer working in the active sports industry.
In 2004 Jason joined the Assembly co-op in Denver's Santa Fe Art District. Success in the fine art market enabled Jason to drop his day job and become a full-time studio artist and independent designer. Today Jason is showing nationally with shows booked through 2007.
Thielke's style is sort of a reversal of traditional graffiti. Most of subjects are often victims of graffiti and are not typically seen as beautiful. Here they are drawn in a somewhat graffiti-like style that is meant to glorify them.
