HUSTLER slash RAPPER, CHAMP CEO of HEAVYWT ENT and also SOUTHCOAST REC started rapping at the age of 12. Rapping, which was once a past time, where his lyrics were basically jokes about family members. At age of 15 CHAMP helped with the writing, and producing of his first rap album. He was a part of a rap group called F.A.M.M, the members where Dapper Don, Buckle, K-LAC, Black Magic, and Quavo. The album was underground and still probably can be found bumpin in anyone’s tape deck that’s from the cut-throat streets of Southside, Bessemer. Beneath the glossy production tricks and lyrics, CHAMP is a Hustler at the heart. And perhaps that’s what separates CHAMP from most of the other rapper/producers trying to break through. He’s good in all three worlds: Rapping, producing, and Hustling. If you find yourself in Mississippi, Georgia, or his home state of Birmingham Alabama anytime soon, don’t be surprised to find that CHAMP is already a household name on the rap circuit. As a native of BESSEMER, CHAMP lives between ATL and New Orleans---two dominant forces in current hip-hop. He has a way with lyrics that simultaneously cut to the bone, keeps your head knockin, and evokes the occasional chuckle. He displays witty punch lines and most of his songs are painfully honest and to-the-point. What’s most impressive about CHAMP is that he produces almost every track that he is heard on. Having his own beat factory has enabled him to take time with his craft which is obvious when you hear his music. Remember the name CHAMP.
