Raised in the rural south, I courageously transformed a simple and comfortable existence into one that celebrates adventure, discovery, and risk. I love God and strive for righteousness in all that I do. I also love sports, almost any sport, but I should warn you now that I will always bleed burnt orange for the Texas Longhorns [Hook 'Em]! I especially enjoy traveling anywhere a car or plane can take me. I'm an avid volunteer/community activist, and I feel continually urged to take on new challenges...new projects, new recipes, pretty much anything. I find comfort in family and friends and extreme peace in fond memories [check out my video page!]. Books:

I've read many but I particularly enjoyed Poisonwood Bible, The Lovely Bones, almost anything by John Grisham, and of course the Bible. The Year Without Michael was my childhood favorite. Left to Tell by Emmaculee Ilibagiza is a must read.I'm currently reading Will the Real You Please Stand Up by Fran Harris, PhD.
