Sit back and relax as we elaborate a little on our business. We are located on the northern end of town next to The Iris Garden Gallery, we recently repainted out building (it really needed it) to a bright yellow with birght white trim, we also recently put up a nylon banner that hangs over the sidewalk in front of the complex we are situated at. Before The Ice Cream Cottage became The Ice Cream Cottage it was home to a Ben & Jerry's. We purchased the business in 1999 and opened its doors with a fresh menu of items, and faces for everyone to get used to. Since our opening we have had a great response from local businesses in helping support our business for the past few years. We have had many employees, watched them come and go, and grow up and move off to better things since we opened, currently we employ four employees, when fall comes upon us we will employ two more, or call back employees we have had in the past to help out with that time of year. If you are ever interested in working with us, we do not take applications, instead you stop by give us your name, phone number, and age and when we need help we will call you if you are free. Over the past few years we have been trying to keep our items priced at a great value that doesn't break your bank. Currently we raised our prices to meat the new gas prices, and our supply prices, even though we raised prices we are still one of the only ice cream establishments with the cheapest prices per dip, and our food items are lower than most as well, but we all know that makes no difference if you are greeted with a kind smile and welcoming hug by the owner when you enter the building. She grows on us all, like a mother.
We are located at: 79 North VanBuren Street directly across the street from The Alley Shoppe/The Nashville Fudge Kitchen/The Mens Toy Shop/The Carmel Corn Cottage/and Floral & Crafts
Operation Hours: Monday-Sunday 10AM-6PM (weekends we may be open later depending on foot traffic) Fall Hours: Monday-Sunday 10AM-9PM (as we all know fall brings a heavy flow of business to all the shops in the area, the hours are not set for this time of year, we are usually open much later as above just depending on foot traffic) WE DELIVER! (IN TOWN ONLY!!)
Please check out our calendar, it will be updated weekly so that you will know what days to stop by and grab one of our lunch specials. Every Tuesday from 10AM-3PM Thru October we offer off the menu items (aka "Granny Day"), this includes specialty desserts, pies, cookies, cobblers. Wednesday+Thursday is our Nutty Bird Special (look at calendar to see what comes on this healthy sandwich) Wednesday if we have desserts left over we will offer them for a fraction of the Tuesday price!
**Every year we close our doors and winterize the building near the 3rd week of November, we close up until the first week of March (usually right around spring break)**
