Omar Torrez is an ultraflash guitar wiz with his own band, three albums and a hybrid musical art form he calls "flamenco soul and groove". He has toured the world with his moving pieces ensemble and currently resides in Venice, Beach, California. the highway scribe is the alter ego of writer Stephen Siciliano, a journalist, screenwriter, blogger (http://highwayscribery.blogspot.com) and the author of two novels, "Vedette or Conversations with the Flamenco Shadows" and "The Sidewalk Smokers Club."This collaboration is called "Vedette Does La Danza" and features readings from the scribe's novel to work from Omar's albums "La Danza" and "Dynamisto"They will probably come to play at your bookstore, or gallery, or wherever if you ask them nicely, give them wine, and let them sell books and CDs.
