Reading, whether it be comics, mythology or archaeology, playing video games, watching movies, in specific watching really bad movies with friends and giving them the Mystery Science Theater treatment, and just general goofery. I think my choice of majors throughout my college adventure reflects my interests: History, then Biology, then Fine Arts, then Graphic Design, then Multimedia Technology, and finally Political Science and Japanese double major. Fun fun fun in the sun sun sun.
Tom Jones, to force him to sing the Spider-Man theme song.
Kind of all over the place. I particularly like orchestral music and heavy metal, but there isn't much I won't listen to. Particular favorites are Therion, Electric Six, Iron Maiden, Bach, Wagner, X Japan, Weird Al, Queen, John Williams, Nobuo Uematsu, Hans Zimmer and more soundtracks than I feel like listing.
Whee, more listing. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Thing, Jaws, Evil Dead 2, Braveheart, Gladiator, samurai movies, Monty Python movies, nearly anything Zucker, Abrams and Zucker have done, and Jackie Chan movies. And zombies. GOD, HOW DID I FORGET THE ZOMBIES?
The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Venture Brothers, anything along those lines. Sometimes I just let it idle on either the Discovery or History channel, especially if there's something about ancient Egypt, Greece or Rome on.
Lovecraft, Poe, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Machiavelli...I don't know, I'll read about anything put in front of me if I've got the time. As for comics, current stuff at least, I like most of the Ultimate stuff, Fables, Lucifer, BPRD, and there's rarely a time when I can't pick up a Batman comic and enjoy it.
Real heroes: Teddy Roosevelt, Alexander and Peter (both 'the Great'), Terry Pratchett, Bill Watterson, and a belatedly added Steve Irwin.
Fictional heroes: Eikichi Onizuka and Spider-Man.
