Kristine Ivanova, Photographer and Artist, born in Latvia, Liepaja, is an up and coming Photographer + Editor. She started life growing up in a poor part of Liepaja, where it was hard to make ends meet. She started to take part in international projects at the age of 14, where she started to meet creative and like mined people. It was then that she realised she had a similar way of thinking and started to accept her talent. Kristine was studying law at the age of 16 in Liepaja college. She started to realise that her love was being creative in the form of photography and media. “It is very hard to study photography and arts in Latvia. Here in England, I love the way how government supports creative people. There are very few opportunities at home, and there just aren’t the businesses and Design houses to employ you. So people tend not to pursue there creative interests so much.”Kristine has taken many photographs in her home town, reflecting the spirit of the country and it’s struggle to become a contending member in the EU. Now at the age of 19, Kristine is living in the UK and hopes to start a BA hons in Photography and Media soon. She has had to be incredibly hard working and dedicated towards study, to get where she has and has had to work very hard to gain professional equipment.This amount of determination, I am sure will make her succeed as a successful artist.(Daniel Taylor, Graduate BA hons PAINTING.)
