Working with Subcollisions

About Me

It's the vibration, the resonance, the rhythm...It keeps us going, even if we don't notice.
Music has always been part of my life, for as long as I can remember, and even before, as my dad was surely playing his fiddle when I was in the womb. But it took me a while to start playing; not sure why...I guess I wasn't ready to understand or persistent enough. "Things come to those who wait" as the saying goes...
I remember buying my first real guitar: a 12 string acoustic! How impressive and strange! As soon as I started strumming it, I was hooked. What I felt was like a caress against my chest, and a blow to the stomach. Like falling in love...
This guitar was to become my main creative outlet, a distinct sound in a band and writing adventure that would last five years, and define what I was as a human being. I've gotten a few others guitars since, but I always come back to it...a safe place, a reference.
Through it all, I'm trying to find my rhythm, to plant my roots...
At the moment, most of my musical time is spent working with Subcollisions , and learning to tame the beast that his my latest passion: the banjo. I've also met some inspiring people with which I'm hoping to develop other projects.

When all you can do is think on a hot summer day...

As much as I love summer, the humidity is getting to me, and it make it hard to play guitar and keep it in tune. But my mind is keeping busy trying to figure out what to do with that banjo riff I came...
