The Beast Without!

About Me

Chief Executive in charge of patient care at the Asylum. I also am a horror show host along with Dr. Tarr, my partner in the Asylum, of a thing we like to call TARR AND FETHER'S PSYCHO CINEMA. Tarr handles the operations. I just like to watch. We have a website for the gullible (all part of the master plan to look normal), PSYCHO CINEMA . We have lots of fun things there. Really. You must check it out and see. Really. You can even buy things there. Really. Like our latest DVD, which we just released. It's quite good. Really. Do we look like we would kid you? Anyway, I spent most of my callow young man years working in a Carny. I lived with the Tattooed Lady for several years. (That was before tats were the happenin' thing.) Her breasts, which were mammoth by the way, were tattooed like two gaping-mawed sharks. Very scary and exciting at the same time. But that's another story...

My Interests

Films, films, films - watching them, writing them, making them; science fiction - writing and reading; comic books - writing and reading; horror - writing, reading, viewing. And making brain pudding. Yum! Oh yeah, torturing Dr. Tarr and Nurse Feratu whenever I get the chance! My main interest right now is creating new episodes of TARR AND FETHER'S PSYCHO CINEMA, and working on the website, http://www.tarrandfether.com.

I'd like to meet:

R. Buckminster Fuller (in the next phase of existence), Ed Poe (ditto), Mark Twain (ditto), H.P. Lovecraft (ditto),ED WOOD (ditto), HUNTER S. THOMPSON (ditto), Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarentino, David Cronenberg, David Lynch, Umberto Eco, Warren Ellis, Neal Stephenson, Ray Bradbury, Thomas Newman, Rick Baker, Frank Miller, Conrad Brooks., James Gunn, James Ellroy, Neil Gaiman, Les Claypool. ANDERSON FILMS, CITIZEN KANE, MALTESE FALCON, UNBREAKABLE, RINGU, TETSUO: IRON MAN, TOKYO FIST, ALL AKIRA KURASAWA FILMS (especially SEVEN SAMURAI, YOJIMBO and SANJURO), PI (the best low-budget science fiction film ever made), NOSFERATU (the original). NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. PLAN NINE FROM OUTER SPACE. ALL ED WOOD films. SPIDER BABY. ENTER ZOMBIE KING. MAN BITES DOG. SHAUN OF THE DEAD. X-MEN 1 AND 2. (3 is okay but not as good as 1 and 2). Television:

DEXTER, Entourage, THE SHIELD, The Simpsons, South Park, My Name is Earl (I'm a member of Karma's Army), Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Tarr and Fether's Psycho Cinema, anything by any horror show hosts I can get my grubby little mitts on.

Anything by Neal Stephenson, Ray Bradbury, Charles Stross, Thomas Pyncheon (especially "Against the Day-one of the best books I've ever read), Umberto Eco (Faucault's Pendulum is my favorite), William Gibson, Hunter S. Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Walter Mosely, Charles Bukowski, James Ellroy (especially White Jazz), Dashiel Hammett, David Brin, Edgar Allan Poe, Aleister Crowley, H.P. Lovecraft. All the classic horror novels, i.e. "Frankenstein," Dracula," etc. This is also an endless list.

Heroes:

R. Buckminster Fuller. Ernie "Ghoulardi" Anderson. Bobcat. Selwin, Morgus, Sir Graves Ghastly. Commander USA. The Kielbasa Kid. Pee Wee Herman. Little John of Big Chuck and Little John.
