Vanessa O'Connell is a 17 year old Junior in High school from Northern California. A day doesn't go by, without Vanessa atleast comming up with a new song in her head, even if not written down. Music is something that Vanessa really enjoys. She states, that writing a song, is like doing a drug. "I see people all around me, everywhere I go, into these terrible drugs, and for me, writing a song is my 'terrible' drug, however, in my case it's not terrible. It lets me get things out, that I couldn't get out in just announcing." Playing guitar, is also something she couldn't live without. "Sometimes, I get frustrated, because I'm not some great guitar player, and i'm still learning..But that just motivates me to want to do better. I'm simply obssessed with guitars." Vanessa is in ladies' choir at her school, and enjoys it very much! "I believe it's helped my vocals, quite a bit." She enjoys going to shows like her buddy, Jackie Greene, and friends in Walking Spanish. "Everytime I hit up a show, I automatically want to go home and write. I get inspired relatively easily."
