I didn't ask, "Are you in church," "What does everyone else think about your walk with God," or my personal favorite, "Are you religious?" I don't mean to sound weird, but when was the last time you just said something to Him from your heart and not because you thought it was the "right thing to do?" Honestly, when was the last time you stopped long enough to be honest with yourself and God? I'm not trying to make anyone get defensive, but doesn't your heart long for something real? I know mine does all the time. We're all people. We all rise. We all fail. We all trust. We're all disappointed. We all need something. What is it? Where is it? Is it in us? Is it outside of us? From one human being to another, the One who made you is the only one that can completely satisfy that hunger everytime it arises. Build a relationship with God the right way in the secret times with Him. Then, when that relationship is strong enough, you won't have to "work something up" or fake it, it will make itself known with full confidence.
