..At first I may appear malcontented, but Allah be praised, I can assure you that I am neither malcontented nor disgruntled. I think a more accurate picture can be drawn with the term "Strageterically Discombobulated". Perhaps some would say "Varying spectra of Aphasia" but I find that talk negative.I would like to think that I am devoid of any thought or care what you might have of me. This is perhaps not always true. Sometimes I may appear to have a syrupy sweet demeanor that desires to please. Again I can assure you that this might only be true if I am attempting to show you how I can breathe through my ears.My life is filled with people who think Im stupid, incompetent, unexperienced. As I mentioned, I couldnt care less about what someone thinks about me or my level of competence. Those most important to me do understand this, and while it may affect my career, I like to think that God has a way with dealing with these people.No, what honestly incenses me is having it rubbed in my face. You see, I dont care if someone thinks im stupid or incompetent. I hate the fact that you consider yourself so clever that no one ever figures it out. You can look at me and smile and say "Thanks alot Blake. nice work" or "Cute ass" or "Wow...you are really nifty" when we all know you wished I was fucking dead.I have an amazing, empathic, artistic wife. If in the end my children arent as gifted as i think they are, they will be, at worst, conscious and compassionate members of society. I have spent my life giving to them everything that I can. I sleep well at night knowing that I give everything I can to my family and my work. Perhaps too much to work.And if I can learn a few important guitar solos along the way, yay for me!
