About Me

I am a nurse for several years and a proud mom to 3 great young people that I have had the pleasure and pains of being part of their worlds. I have been single for 27 yrs and pretty much just work all the time then sleep then back to work, etc. I love going out to eat at different restaurants, meeting people that are interesting and diverse interests but living in a small town and my hours do not make it easy to meet other people. I really do enjoy my children and they are my best friends but are getting older and don't need mom as much so I find myself ready to spread my wings and get out there and meet other people. I love to travel and see different things and I really do love people. In my line of work, sometimes I have the pleasure of helping patients and sometimes patients give me insight into something that maybe I needed to learn a lesson on life. I feel everyone has been put here for a reason and life is a journey with a path that has rocks and stones...some are stumbling stones and some are stepping stones...some are friends that are there to help you through and the stumbling ones are people that have caused you to be slowed down from what God intended you to be and that is to be happy and loved and progress through life on this wonderful journey. I feel that everyone that comes into your life will have an effect on you whether you are aware of it or not, either in a positive or negative way. Life is full of mistakes and that is normal...just learn from them and don't do them again and help another along the way to learn from your mistakes. We are asked to love one another but we don't have to always like them. I am a spiritual person, Christian, and I know that if hell is any worse than this world...I got to be good cause eternity is a long,long,long time and you get no other chances when the last dance is played.

My Interests

Love all types of music except rap and not too much country. I even like show tunes and plays esp. musicals, movies (not blood and gore horror),water sports and beach, dining at different restaurants, traveling, camping, snow skiing, sailing, grilling out with friends, etc.

I'd like to meet:

I would have loved to have met, Pope John Paul II, Princess Diana and Mother Theresa before they died. I pray to Pope John Paul to intercede for me when I am really having bad times because I feel he was really a man of God that tried to right all the wrongs all over the world. I admire Mother Theresa for all the love she had for the world's most poorest and unloved people of the world and for Princess Diana, to be just a friend to tell her to hang in there and what a wonderful person she was and all the good she did even with all of her faults as human as us all and that she was loved too.

Music:

all types except rap and not too much country, love show tunes and musicals, love the 40s big band music, really love the 70s and even easy listening like Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bochelli.

Movies:

I love action movies like Tomb Raiders, XMEN but also really love movies like Memoirs of a Geisha, Legends of the Fall, movies that have a real story line and interesting characters. I love comedies!!!!! Loved the new Pride and Preduices. I also love the old black and white movies.

Television:

the History and Discovery Channels, Will and Grace, Frazier,Digging for the Truth, anything with Egyptology, Bibical, Arts, etc.

Books:

The only one I ever read front to back in a couple of days was The DaVinci Code. Reading alot of Jane Alston and anything with bibical background,art, etc. I really can spend hours in a bookstore with all kinds of interests.

Heroes:

My Dad was my hero who died 4 yrs ago and my world has not been quite the same since. He was the last one I would ever admit to needing help but was the first and only one to offer and make it happen and I miss him very much.I must add my favorites, of course my children who are my biggest reasons to live and keep on plugging along. Without them, my life would have been so dull and different. The are my sane and insanity at the same time. The inspire me and have allowed me to experience things that I was not able to do and I wouldn't change a thing. I also have many girlfriends that are some of the strongest characters that anyone could ever be lucky enough to be associated with and with raising children alone and working and supporting their families and going back to school and getting many degrees, are truly heroes to me. I can never repay them for all the times I needed help and they came to my rescue. They are the real Heroes!!
