Mo'Reno was born on the 27th of May 1980 as Michael J.D Roodtman.. in very deprived circumstances to Pastor D. Roodtman and Jeanette Roodtman. Born into Apartheid-South Africa, it was hard growing up being a person of colour..but lil' Reno had his family who always loved him and brought him up with Respect and Dignity.. although the South African goverment showed nothing but Resentment for his kind.. in this White-Superiority-ruled Slave state.. He kept his head up.'Reno was born into a very musical family.. with 5 brothers and 1 sister who all sang and wrote songs and also played various instruments.. with mom and dad also musical. They passed alot of knowledge down to lil'Reno from the moment he got sense. The family was and is very Religious so Mo'Reno also learned music in churce..where he'd play the drums, and write Gospel songs for the most part of his young life. 'Reno also plays the guitar and can also program and produce beats, having spent alot of time around his brother-in-law (Eloff Jacobs) in studios and live perfomances of E. Jacobs Gospel band "Shammah". Mo'Reno wrote his first Rap when he was 9 years old... whilst dodging bullets and knives in the Gang and drug infested neighbourhoods of Black South Afrika. 'Reno's brother P.J-Rock was at this time a semi-big Gospel artist in Namibia and South Afrika. PJ saw that 'Reno's got an extraordinary gift and love for music and thus encouraged and gave Mo'Reno his first chance to perform infront of an Audience. Mo loved the feeling the crowd gave him when they Clapped their hands after he performed..and from then on he knew this music he loves so much is his ticket out of the extreme poverty he and his people lived in.The family Roodtman lived in various parts of South Afrika, because of his dad's job... they often had to move to diffirent towns. Mo'Reno went to 7 different schools from around S.A, and was always the new kid on the block.. Who did'nt know anybody and had to fight off bullies at school and on his block by his-damn-self. He was willing to die, before a bully was going to walk over him. He did however make friends, most of them thanx to his beautiful singing voice and ability to rap. He was also very popular amongs the girls, and would often serenade them, accompanied by the sound of his guitar.. and would also write them romantic poetry.Mo'Reno Started the RAM KLAN of which he is the King... after moving to Wah-Town in 1998. The R.A.M consists of Dancers (B.Boys and Girls), Rappers, Singers, Song writers and Musicians etc... These Boys and Girls 'Reno found in the Gutter (ex-and Gang members, drug addicts and school drop-outs, "hoodlums", dope boys and girls) where he is from... and trained them, gave 'em purpose. Mo'Reno loves his people... and saw past their circumstances, situations and past.. and gave them Respect, Love and Peace... through the music. During this time Mo'Reno dropped out of College and his brother "Kallie C. Roodtman" got murdered (got his throat slit) and this certainly nearly destroyed Mo'Reno.. Kallie's pre-mature departure at just 29 years old, certainly still hurts. Mo however, got through this.. with support from family and friends.. and God's Grace. He wanted to retaliate but, the killer got locked up.. so he had to let it go.Mo'Reno was at one point in his life whilst living in Ladismith-CP (the lil' town where he was born) also a dope-boy (drug dealer) but, got out of it fast, Because he refused to end up just being another Product of his enviroment. He instead focused on his music, and played alot of Clubs, city-halls and churches (making money that way). Mo'Reno and the RAM KLAN ended up on S.A-Radio being interviewed and also got in the news papers and briefly on tv.Then January 2003 came and his brother P.J who was living in London now, flew him over to England. Where he's still living at today. He's released 2 albums to date on the underground. "Tha Roodtman" in 2004 and "Profound Nonchalance" in 2005. His life today is anything but relaxed and "Breezy". He's still experiencing hardship. The London Music Industry is still trying to blow him off and Dead his spirit. Mo'Reno However, had been Schooled and Trained on the Hardknock Blocks and streets.. the Battle-Fields of Deprived South Afrika and Will Not Stop 'till he's OverCome !! the War aint Over !!!Mo'Reno's New studio album "S.A-Diamonds" will be released later in 2006. S.A-Diamonds is the Most Artistically-Hard Hitting, Club-Rocking Hip-Hop-Soul Album to ever be made !! and Will Surely Blow, even the Hardest Critic Away !!! The Struggle Continues !!!!
