About Me

Rational Gaze

Squint your eyes to see clearly
Blur reality to make it real
Let focus go from your deceiving eyes to know whats been concealed
We've all been blinded
Subjects to visual misinformation
A systematic denial of the crystalline
To see the fine grain, to read the hidden words
The context of parallel truth
Devoid of fragmentation
Our light-induced image of truth
Filtered blank of its substance
As our eyes won't adhere to intuitive lines
Everything examined, Separated, one thing at a time
The harder we stare the more complete the disintegration
Dissolution
Eyes re-opened, Reasoning focalized, Receptors activated
Perspectives distorted
The ladder beyond our grasp
The twin-headed serpent forever hidden
Where's the true knowledge
Where engines of the sane and insanity merge
The clarity
The unity
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision
Existence taken for granted. -Absolute
Possessed, owned, controlled
By the common sense-infected rational gaze
Onward forever we walk among the ignorant
Never stray from the common lines
r e a n i m a t i o n .
Ever so slightly fucking insane.
I think porn should play on TVs during house parties. I leave the water running at every opportunity. I'm a landfill of secrets. I don't really have any, it's just that people tend to know that I'm where secrets go to die I guess. I'm a good cook, but hate cooking. Well, really I just hate the mess. I don't judge people. Often. Me and my friends have (had) a tradition where we steal the "imposter Joeseph" from Christmas manger sets off random lawns and burn him. I prefer pictures taken while people aren't looking. I hate Ben Stiller. I have awesome random thoughts. So yeah, I guess I have spontaneous tendancies.
I tell you, I don't believe in afterlife at all, but if there is one, I want there to be a room where you can sit down and watch your own life, from start to finish, like on a tape or DVD or something. Maybe you'd see what people were thinking in subtitles. You could also watch anyone else's life too. I mean, if you've got all of eternity to spend, 70 years here and there is nothing.
I like to think I have an artist's soul, a philosopher's head, and a warrior's heart. They fight a lot.
I save the keys of all of the places I've lived, and walk around with them everywhere. They remind me of all the places I've been, and all of the people who've slipped away because of life's sad circumstance, who I'll never forget.

The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to the Fourth Level of Hell!
Fourth Level of Hell-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------Just before the river Styx is the Fourth Level of Hell. Here, the prodigal and the avaricious suffer their punishment, as they roll weights back and forth against one another. You will share eternal damnation with others who either wasted and lived greedily and insatiably, or who stockpiled their fortunes, hoarding everything and sharing nothing. Plutus, the wolf-like demon of wealth, dwells here.

Here is how you matched up against all the levels:

Level Score
Purgatory (Repenting Believers) Very Low
Level 1 - Limbo (Virtuous Non-Believers) Very Low
Level 2 (Lustful) High
Level 3 (Gluttonous) High
Level 4 (Prodigal and Avaricious) Extreme
Level 5 (Wrathful and Gloomy) Very High
Level 6 - The City of Dis (Heretics) Very High
Level 7 (Violent) Very High
Level 8- the Malebolge (Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers) High
Level 9 - Cocytus (Treacherous) High

My Interests

Enrichment. At this point in my life I'm a black hole of info, waiting for the point to throw it all back up. I wish I could snowboard more. I've always wanted to learn drums. I want to "learn" graffiti. It's my Bronx heritage haunting. Breakdancing would be cool too. I'm into computers and writing programs. I like to write. I like to create. I like to deconstruct and destroy- I can be hypercritical. I like to exercise often. There is never enough time. I might be nothing without music. People who read on the toilet are creepy.

I'd like to meet:

You.

Music:

Metal and hardcore/metalcore are my home base, but I'm highly adventurous. Country and all sub-genres are the only thing that I'll refuse. It's acid to the brain. Fuck! I'd rather listen to someone eating for 35 minutes, and I have the album to prove it. I used to go to shows a lot, but then I took the vow of poverty called "college". I'd list my interests, but I don't particularly feel like sitting here for the next half hour.

Movies:

Kill Bill. Others. I think Michael Bay sucks. I think Jerry Bruckheimer sucks. I think Spike Lee is a racist. I think Kevin Smith got lucky with Clerks. I think M. Night Shyamalan is the worst. I'd go as far as to say he's a fake and had nothing to do with The Sixth Sense. I think Quentin Tarantino is too cool for school. Sam Raimi is cool. Tim Burton is cool. David Lynch is cool. Requiem for a Dream is the most vaslty overrated drug flick ever. Picasso Trigger is the coolest movie you'll never see.

People say to me that if a movie doesn't change my life that it's not up to my standards. It's not that- it's just that I don't have 2 hours to throw at a movie that's not going to do anything for me besides pass 2 hours.

Television:

Lost

Books:

Everything. "The Reenchantment of the World" is the most amazing thing I've read. I like Nietzsche and Sartre, Ayn Rand, most philosophy really.

When I was younger I would wish for money or possesions. Now I wish I could read at a faster rate.

Heroes:

I always had a problem with this category. We go from talking about music, television, and movies, to heroes? Anyone else find this trite? *shrugs* I take note of villians far easier than heroes anyway.
