About Me

If we are all made in God's image, then being creative is one of the most precious acts. My friends know me for my wild sense of humor, open mind and excentric approach to fashion. The House of Muses is an accessories label that I started in 04' that has grown to what you see now. Aside from the handbags its a design house of many mediums and muses. Art direction, interior design, choreography and graphic design to name a few. For more check the website. www.thehouseofmuses.com People ask about my heritage and influences alot. I tell them that I'm Irish and Dutch Carribean raised in MA now in NY. Been around the world.. Spreek je nederlands? I am very inspired by Italian lifestyle. Italy is one of those places; like Paris, that fashion and style is celebrated in everyday gestures. It's these places that keep the fantasy of fashion alive. Growing up my mother, (who studied hair at Loreal Paris® in the 60's) owned a hair salon that was above a vintage store. I grew up with the smell of shampoo and vintage clothing and dreams of modeling in Paris. It was there I discovered the excitement of dressing up. Soon after, my lunchbox got traded in for a black patent leather purse.-Lea Muses
