About Me

I'm very involved with a new non-profit - The Cherokee Arts & Humanities Council, Inc. (www.cherokeehumanities.com) and spend most of my time working with that group. I try to stay preoccupied. That means do the right, or at least the smart, thing. I am: confused, disoriented, not sure of you, sure of myself, mystified, mystical, a transient of the mind, sporadic, a night walker, a time traveler (on my own time), a writer, a dreamer, a realist, a traditionalist, a little Scottish, a rambler, a little white (but can't prove it, and don't need to). But what I like best about me is that when I wake up every morning, and sleep as during the short hours, is that I am Cherokee. That about says it all, I believe. If you would like to know more you can either wait for the autobiography, biography, obit, or ask me. I would recommend asking. Oh, and I'm a happy person in a happy place - now isn’t that just damn sick?

My Interests

www.cherokeehumanities.com I'm interested and hope to spend more time fostering and supporting my relationship with my friends. I need to be a better person, friend, for them. - Working to preserve Cherokee culture, heritage, traditionalism ...; Natives, reading, writing, my home, my gardens, my Quatie (she's a hot dog), Yona and Tooka, chicks (the fowl kind), birds (the clan kind and the feather kind), family, magic (the real thing), Ceremonial Grounds, the Night, Flying (the real thing), equality, liberty, self-expression, gayz and a little, bitz, (much) more... Ask me, I might tell you (and than again maybe I wont).

I'd like to meet:

Those who are interested in the Cherokee Arts & Humanities www.cherokeehumanities.com. Check the website for information, projects, etc. And then I would like to meet . . . All the Nice Peoples... Cool Aboriginals (of the America's and other), Tribal people... Friends! And the happy people - Gvnagalasi, Aye! If U wnt to know who else, just ask. Gaw Judy!

Music:

Dolly because she shares laughter, humor and happieness. And, I share her opinions sometimes. I like many differnt music styles. I like music from the beginning of time right up to this momment, some of it, etc. (Ceremonial Song is the only kind that rocks my soul).

Movies:

"The Hunger," "Cat People", "Something Wicked This Way Comes," and Oldies. Film Noir. Rupert Everett's older work. Films that either make me laugh or cry (Steel Magnolias). Films that make us realize the world has problems and we have responsibilities toward our brothers and sisters the world over - then too, I like general crap sometimes.

Television:

Don't follow anything closely right now. HGTV, DYI and Reba sometimes. I'm looking forward to DIRTY SEXY MONEY.

Books:

Right now I'm reading Thirteen Moons. So far, half through, I'm not thrilled with it. The classics still touch me: East of Eden, As I Lay Dying, many more. Today: Gore Vodal. Myself (Ned Christie, Cherokee Warrior). "The Reader" was good (abt. three yrs. back). "The White Hotel" entertained me somewhat, okay, a lot. I need to read more, and would like to. Tennessee Williams, everything he did!!

Heroes:

Don't Hero, Atsilvquodi, worship. But - My Eji, The Cherokee people, My ancestors: Ned Christie, Zeke Proctor, Watt Christie (Wakigu Dalasini),& the ceremonial people of today. Dolly Parton. Gloria Steinem. Isabella Rosalini (spelling ?). William Faulkner - because he knew life and death and the in between, and it's all GOOD.
