DJ Over-X, the most respectable Latvian female dj, who is one of the most interesting figures in Latvian drum and bass and techno scene since 2000. She has had an obstinate passion for music since she was even a small kid. She started to play piano when she was at age of five, and since then all her live has been a journey into music world. As a teenager in 90-ties she started to spend a lot of time hanging out in clubs and listening to electronic music (back in the days it was Detroit techno, house, acid), but soon after she found herself into jungle and drum&bass. Being so passionated about the music she bought her first turntables and started to play records. After only few months of practising at home, she played her first gigs in Latvian clubs and festivals and so become the first female drum&bass lady in the country. Dj Over-X has earned respect playing every major party and many in-between. After only one year of regular DJ sessions in Latvia and neighborhood countries like Estonia and Lithuania Over-X played her first gig in the United States of America. There she met guys from the Headrush Records and soon become a part of them spinning many parties in New York City and other cities in the States.
As a drum&bass and techno dj, Over-X has been invited to play her sets in many countries that spreads from United States of America till Syberia in Russia: USA (New York, NY - „Konkrete Jungle” @ Pyramid, „Amen” @ Bar B, many parties at Queens; Washington, DC - „Turntable Ballistics”; Mobile, AL - „Good Times”; Richmond, VA - „Ground Zero”, „Render”, a. o.) European Session: Spain: Barcelona; Belgium; Germany: Frankfurt Am Main, Flensburg; Austria: Vienna; Ireland: Galway, Limerick; Poland: Wroclaw, Katowice; Russia: St. Petersburg (club “Tunnel”), Moscow, Novosibirsk, Altay mountains; Ukraine: Lwov; Belorussia: Minsk, and many parties all around Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia. Her dj sets have been broadcasted on many radios worldwide like 3VOOR12 in Holland (Dave Clarke..s White Noise show), bassdrive.com, European Hit Radio and many others.

Her extraordinary mixing skills are mashing up techno, electro, minimal, drum&bass, breakcore, hip hop... DJ Over-X is also into turntabelism and recently (in 2007) she started to produce her own music and her first release called "Sunset" alongside with the remix by The Response has been released on Peeled Tracks Records in march 2008.
Over-X says: "So far music has given me so much!!! I have been traveling around the world, have seen so many fantastic and unforgettable places, I have met so many great people and friends. I think that music is some kind of religion that is some kind of relationships between people that nor words nor other kinds of senses can express... Music always has been into my soul and body, it is the only constant throughout the whole of my life. I feel that I have to give everything back music has given to me... And I believe that my spirit of adventure will help me out :) ..."
