love is virtually limitless and the world is rife with possibility

it will be said that she lived and died "in a course of drunken gaiety and gross sensuality, with intervals of study perhaps yet more criminal, with an avowed contempt of decency and order, a total disregard to every moral, and a resolute denial of every religious observation, she lived worthless and useless, and blazed out her youth and health in lavish voluptuousness [in a Yurt]."
~ Samuel Johnson(regarding John Wilmot, my hero)

"I have a rotten habit of picturing the bedroom scenes of my friends."

it's a good thing i have no shame, or else i might be really embarrassed!

"tell me that you've got everything you want
and your bird can sing. but you don't get me
yeah. you don't get me."
i love music. love isnt quite the word... more like unnatural obsession that dominates and overpowers my life. ahem.i listen to a vast array of artists from the 1940's to today, predominantly of the rock and roll genre and various sub-genres. if i listed them all, it would be futile because the list is ever expanding, and it would overpower this page.
right now i'm rocking out to Babyshambles, 1990s, Scissors For Lefty, The Clientele.
recently i've been all about The Format, The Shins, The Rosebuds, Angels and Airwaves, Shout Out Louds, Stellastar, The Redwalls, Fiona Apple, Youth Group, Sondre Lerche, Louis XIV, Mojave 3, The Raconteurs, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Dirty Pretty Things, The Cribs, Jet, Hellogoodbye, Her Space Holiday, Arctic Monkeys, VHS or BETA, These Electric Lives, Autour de Lucie, Athlete, Bloc Party...
old standards include Elvis Presley, The Beatles, post-Beatles (but, not so much Ringo), The Who, Bowie, Louis Prima, The Andrews Sisters, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, The Zombies, The Platters, Smokey Robinson, The Jackson Five, Oasis, Blur, Ash, The Lightening Seeds, Bluetones, Kula Shakur, The Jeevas, Badly Drawn Boy, The Sundays, Dashboard Confessional, The Cure, Mott The Hoople, ABBA, Clapton, The Clash, The Stone Roses, Presidents of The United States of America, Weezer, MxPx, The Verve, The Velvet Underground, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas and The Papas, Space Hog, The Strokes, BRMC, The White Stripes, Zwan, Gorillaz, Coldplay, Keane, Snow Patrol, Travis, The Turtles, The Monkees, Simon and Garfunkle, Hendrix, Joplin, CCR, Brian Setzer... the list could go on eternally...
and sometimes i go on these weird John Denver benders. i don't really want to talk about it.
old films, new films, black and white and technicolor, musicals, black comedy, foreign films, indie flicks. Audrey Tautou. Brando. Branagh. The Lives Of Others. The Beatles. Monty Python. About A Boy. the original TMNT!! The Cinema, The Little, Dryden Theatre. and Johnny Depp, baby. The Libertine makes me hot. so does Jet Li. shazam!
"Away, you lean sow, you devil's arse, you fiend's excrement, ordure, obstinate accursed fly... out, out, out! Don't kick against the prick! Away, loathsome cobbler, stinking he-goat, sooty spirit from tartarus, away! Back into thine infernal kitchen, you bestial vomit!!"
~ taken from the diary of an 11th century monk.
alright, so i watch Grey's Anatomy. and Samantha Who is surprizingly witty and well written, i get a kick out of it. Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Kids In The Hall, The Monkees, and Coupling would be in my all time top 5. and maybe, erm, TMNT!!!
i read alone, yeah, with nobody else.
erm. so lately... i'm on a Hemingway kick. A Farewell To Arms, The Sun Also Rises, and i had a turbulant love affair over the summer. i'm now beginning what promises to be quite a torrid relationship with For Whom The Bell Tolls.
aside from that... i'm your typical student of literature. i love ol' Shakey. dig me some Chaucer. am trying to break away from my life long addiction to historical fiction (Margaret George was my hero) and supernatural thrillers (Anne Rice = guilty pleasure)... and unlike most (and by most i mean all) literary snobs, i like Dan Brown.
i've recently begun a mild flirtation with Machiavelli... and Nietzsche is on the backburner. hate to string him along until i'm through with these other boys, but a girl only has so much time to spread around.
Narcissus
wait wait wait wait no... Mohammad Al-Fayed. definitely.
