Silicon Shadow is a music project born out of the embers of the band UV. As Heretek, I co-founded and fronted the band for about 4 years before the band imploded and is now running idle (UV's future is uncertain at this time as all members are currently exploring other interests). Silicon Shadow is an extension of the entity that controls my artistic expression. The music reflects the determination, emotion, and struggle to attain balance in life. The process has not been easy, nor has it been pretty, and it is incomplete. I'm sure it always will be.
From dark, sprawling soundscapes with downward tempos, dense percussion and layered strings, to straight-forward industrial with thick beats, distortion, and a little old-school angst, the music is brutally honest. Silicon Shadow will take you on a journey through the heart and mind of a true human condition: a child with his feet firmly planted in the past, and his outstretched arms still trying to get a hold on the future.
