With a father he never met and a mother working two jobs to provide for her son, Tragic had to rely on the hood to provide him with the tools necessary to succeed on the block. Tragic recalls the early music influences of his life as follow:I remember when I was a shorty living in Rochester, New York. At the time everybody was listening to strictly East Coast shit, my favorite joint back then was the Symphony, you know .Once u hear the capitol A/ rap itll stay/ with you for awhile and it wont go away/unless u force because it stays with you my friend. (rapping the entire verse as if it was yesterday) But when N.W.A came out it was the hardest shit I ever heard. I remember the controversy and commotion that album caused and thought that this is what I want to do.After a long winding road brought him to Atlanta Georgia as a young influential teenager, Tragic was shortly introduced to a fellow rapper named Dank White. Clicking instantly they formed the group S.C.I (South Coast Intertainment) and started the grind.With their music growing, S.C.I was introduced in a chance meeting to what would eventually be the last half of the family. G.Chizo and Holla helped provide the sound that the world will hear today and for years to come as Tragic puts itthey give us that edge over any other hip hop artist in the industry. The soul that comes through in our music is a direct reflection of them. From performing in Miami opening up for established artist like Tony Touch, to performing locally in venues such as the Roxy, S.C.I was able to establish themselves and their music in the saturated Atlanta market.While Tragic admits everyone has gone through ups and downs, trials and tribulations, peaks and valleys in their lifetime, everybody does not have the ability to put it to music and write a song about it. What you will hear from S.C.I will be more than the superficial surface deep music currently being showcased on your local radio station. If it was true that life imitates art or art imitates life then based on the current music game we would all be riding on 24s and wearing iced out Wonder Woman bracelets. Tragic definitely has an opinion and its only one of four that makes up the dynamics of the SOUTH COAST INTERTAINMENT Team.
