About Me

Uh about me? Well as a computer animation student, I like digital art and always agreed that pics say 1000 words. If we met I don't think you'd consider me aloof..but it's very common for me to lose myself in something whether it's a good discussion, martial arts, visual arts, poetry, moshing, skating, video games, anime, music production, dancing badly lol, watching a movie, or watching nothing in particular and staring off into space. I drift off almost as therapy to help me escape this crazy world ruled by fools and their egos. As much as those types have and will continue to disappoint me though, I won't be broken cause I know bad examples don't sum up the rest. btw I noticed how many people get turned off by someone who's "religious" so go ahead if you have to...because I believe there is a God. And yes I already know the reputation of organized religion is in shambles because of selfish hypocrites, but I don't let reputations control the way I think- so I don't experience this aversion. It was through God I personally learned what love for ALL people is about, and how respect should be given where it's due; but I no longer care about impressing anyone. You are who you are and I am who I am- just another explorer passing through. Curious enough that I've been known to try and scare myself lol just to further understand this response called fear (outside of its tendency to paralyze). So many of us let intimidation by the unknown be crippling, but I can't let myself be disabled this way. I want to know about the yins and the yangs of life, so even foggy woods and dark cemeteries are beautiful to me. Anyway, yeah life is a tough thing to figure out, but later on I'd like to eventually do motion picture visual fx, be a performance shop tech or train/instruct martial arts in Asia.. as all of these already bring me joy. Right now we practice TangSuDo, a derivative of the popular style of TaeKwonDo.
If you've added me, you've probably seen my sig and wondered what all the craziness means. Many have asked me to relate the meaning of it but for some reason, till now I've never felt a need to explain myself. To answer your questions, it's a combination of several ideas, all having to do with what I'm trying to achieve: fullness and balance. The diagram is of a human sitting Lotus Posture which is common in Yoga and meditation. You may have heard of so-called chakras of the body where different vital energies converge. (if not, there's more in-depth information on Chakras here) The lines and shapes roughly map out the routes these energies take in communicating to different parts of the body and mind. The sun and moon of course symbolize cooperative opposites like yin|yang, death|life, cool|warm, night|day etc... and the SPIRAL is just my favourite shape in nature--a piece of sacred geometry that imbues all life and is likewise imbued into infinity. R7IT [Ringworm 7 Inversion Theory] sums up my past and my future goals. Since I'm a fan of the dynamically creepy Japanese film series "Ring" I'm a Ringworm :) and the number 7 often ascribes wholeness/completion; things such as the number of days it took for God to create physicality, and the number of chakras in the body come to mind...but look around and the list continues. An Inversion Theory is actually a experimental path towards correctness in a given procedure, in my case life. One CAPITA Engineering website says:
"A common problem arising in science is the need to determine the true input data given the observed responses of a system. This is an inversion process, whereby indirect measurements are used to understand and reconstruct unknown features of a system."
You can see how this might help in picking out flaws to refine the data set as a whole. I.T. is a lot like watching Donnie Darko, since it forces you to make logical connections by leaping forward and backward through time. When things get stressful, I'm trying to re-trace my steps to missing pieces that seem so obvious when I find them.

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
--Howard Thurman
"O Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds and whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me! I am small, weak, and I need your wisdom and strength. Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made, and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise so that I may understand what you have taught my people. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every rock and leaf. I seek strength not to be greater than others, but to fight my greatest enemy: myself. Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes so when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit my come to you without shame."
--Tekakwitha
"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love
will have the final word in reality."
--Martin Luther King Jr.
"Not thinking about anything is Zen. Once you know this, walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, everything you do is Zen. To know that the mind is empty is to see the Buddha... Using the mind to look for reality is delusion. Not using the mind to look for reality is awareness. Freeing oneself from words is liberation."
--Bodhidharma
"Where there is beauty, there is ugliness. When something is right, something else is wrong. Knowledge and ignorance depend on each other. It has been like this since the beginning. How could it be otherwise now? Wanting to toss out one and hold onto the other makes for a ridiculous comedy. You must still deal with everything ever-changing, even when you say its wonderful."
--Ryokan
"When a man does what needs to be done,
he does not know the meaning of time."
--Chief Dan George
"There are countless ingredients that make up the human body and mind. Like all the components that make up me as an individual with my own personality. Sure I have a face and voice to distinguish myself from others, but my thoughts and memories are unique only to me, and I carry a sense of my own destiny. Each of those things are just a small part of it. I collect information to use in my own way. All of that blends to create a mixture that forms me, and gives rise to my conscience. I feel confined, only free to expand myself within boundaries."

Inversion Theory,
The Golden Ratio,
and Leonardo Fibonacci

from FlowerOfLife.org:

Without full memory of the whole and integrated picture of the universe, we start off our young lives in a seemingly erratic pattern of identifying ourselves as purely physical beings that are finite and mortal. As we gain experience and wisdom through the physical incarnation, we begin to sense and discover our spirit and begin the process of identifying ourselves more closely with our greater selves. Our attraction to move closer to God is like Fibonacci’s attraction for approximating the Golden Mean.

As we grow into a closer relationship with the ideal (spirit or Golden Mean), we can begin to sense an increase in energy and revitalization. This revitalization can stimulate the intent and motivation of the physical being to do everything possible to feel more energy and get closer to the ideal or golden mean. The physical being (Fibonacci) is then compelled to proceed along a path that leads to getting closer to spirit. This often manifests by cleaning the mind, emotions, and desires in order to bring about a clear inner temple that enables the mind and body to become the best receiver for the ideal or spirit. This is also like Fibonacci approximating the Golden Mean.

Eventually the thoughts, emotions, and desires of the physical being approximate the ideal very closely. At that point the Fibonacci and the Golden Mean are in such a close relationship that a type of bridge is created between spirit and the physical being. The limited beliefs of the physical being can be released and the realization of the unlimited potentials available within spirit can be embraced fully by the human being in the physical. (more)

You Are a Dreaming Soul
Your vivid emotions and imagination take you away from this world. So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time. You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all...But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult. You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you. Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses. Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others. Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul, Prophet Soul, and Traveler Soul What Kind of Soul Are You?

Your Life Path Number is 11

Your purpose in life is to inspire others by setting a good example. Your amazing energy draws people to you, and you give them great insight in return. You hold a great amount of power over others, without even trying. You have the makings of an inventor, artist, religious leader, or prophet. In love, you are sensitive and passionate. You connect with your partner on a very deep level. You have great abilities, but you are often way too critical of yourself. You don't fit in - and instead of celebrating your differences, you dwell on them. You have high expectations of yourself. But sometimes you set them too high and don't achieve anything. What Is Your Life Path Number?

DESIDERATA (desired things)
by Max Ehrmann c. 1927
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
