i am interested in music of most genres. i sing some of them. play violin to others. even dance poorly to most. when you put those together, it means i'm in music theatre sometimes. i am interested in food and the eating of it.. molesting clothing stores.. searching for wireless internet connections to pirate.. drinking coffee and discussing, you know, stuff.. hypothesising potential career paths.. karaoke-ing (japan style).. movie-watching.. people-watching.. staying interested..
anyone that has achieved fame and fortune via this medium. any tips? except sandi thom. you failed the system. no deal.
as a good friend once told me, i tend to appreciate most groups whose name involves a 'the', followed by a noun, ie the beatles. in general, i respond well to male voices and often shudder at womanly sound - though i feel i may have been scarred by female power vocalists of the 80s and 90s. which is, in fact, one of the greater ironies of my existence..
i enjoy heading out to the cinema and eating too much popcorn and peanut m and m's. i rustle packets at the wrong times and often get motion sickness in documentaries, but i truly enjoy the film-going process. my favourite films? it's a very mixed bag. the sound of music/four weddings and a funeral/ amelie / sabrina / breakfast at tiffany's / gilda / robin hood prince of thieves / ferris bueller's day off / i heart huckabees. hard to pin point what i really like there.. and there are many many more..
i am lobbying for the miniseries to come back into TV vogue. until then - house, scrubs and neighbours do me fine.
let's get literary. i read, and happen to be doing an english major at uni. doesn't mean i know a lot, or that i'm exceedingly well read. it does mean that by 2008's end, i'll have a piece of stamped uni paper saying i have licence to tell you what i really, really, really think about a text. but don't worry, i won't.
the person that first employs me with said english major, sees potential and pays me excessively to blather on, just like this. how defeatist! how uninspiring! no no.. how great. H-E-R-O.
