It is the sound of Candella. Dark, melodic, rhythmic. Candella has a borderline metal tinged hard rock sound, much akin to that of, early Staind and Breaking Benjamin. With raw, aggression filled riffs caped with unique soaring vocals, rock solid hooks and heavy, pulse pounding rhythms, Candella has a sound that transcends the typical alternative rock norm.
Formed in the summer of 2004, Lee Goodale, Mike Bassett and Mike DeReu formed an instant bond from the first time they hit a note together. Within the first year, they wrote, recorded and produced their first full length album, Lock and Load. It is easy to see that amount of drive and determination these three individuals possess. In the summer of 2005 however, this power trio received the catalyst that would propel them to great heights. Gary Ledgerwood joined as the bands bassist after only one audition and they haven’t looked back since. With Goodale’s powerful vocals, backed by Ledgerwoods solid, catchy harmonies and dark sludgy bass riffs, Bassett’s destructively melodic guitar riffs, and DeReu’s brutal assault on the drums, the band officially transformed from a “garage band†to a respected act in a genre rich with talent.
Now armed with 2 CD’s, countless shows, regular radio rotation on several internet and college radio stations through out the northeast and a loyal army of Candella fans, they are ready to break into the music world with the same unrelenting fortitude that is surely going to take them to endless heights.
